Starlight Taxi is a small, local ride service — we're not a tech platform. This page explains what information we collect when you call us or book a ride, how we use it, and your choices.

When you contact us to book a ride, we typically collect:
- Contact details — your name and phone number so we can confirm your ride.
- Trip details — pickup address, destination, pickup time, and any special requests.
- Payment information — credit cards are charged ahead of time from our office; we do not store card details after a transaction is complete.
- Email correspondence — if you email us, we keep the message so we can respond and maintain service records.
This site does not currently host an online booking form. If we add one in the future, the data it collects will be covered by this policy and the revision date above will be updated.
How we use your information
- To schedule and complete your ride.
- To reach you about pickup timing, changes, or delays.
- To keep basic records required for running a legitimate transportation business (insurance, accounting, CPUC compliance).
- To follow up with you about a specific ride if needed.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not send marketing emails or texts unless you've specifically asked us to.
Sharing your information
We don't sell your information — ever. We may share limited ride details with:
- Our drivers, so they can find you and complete the ride.
- Service providers who help us run the business (accountant, payment processor), only as needed.
- Law enforcement, if legally required.

This website uses minimal cookies. We may use a lightweight analytics tool to understand which pages visitors find useful so we can improve the site. We do not run advertising trackers or sell browsing data.

We keep the information you share with us confidential and use reasonable measures to protect it. No system is perfect, but we treat your details the way we'd want our own handled.
